POSITION SUMMARY:
The Plexus Financial Services Team Leader will set the operations strategic direction and policy while also being an active participant in and driver of the business’ overall strategy. This position will lead a team of associates, advise on a select group of clients, partner with producers to drive revenue, and deliver a superior service experience for retirement and 401K prospects and clients.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Strategy/Management/Forecasting

  • Collaborate with the President of Employee Benefits, develop a 3- year strategy to meet Corporate Organic Growth/Retention and Margin Objectives.
  • Frequently evaluate the plan sponsor experience and process. 
  • Manage the Client Relations team and their roles as Co-Plan Fiduciaries for clients.
  • Support the service model and manage quarterly (or appropriate) investment review meetings for a select list of clients.
  • Partner with all Plexus Producers and their prospects to secure new business and exceed revenue objectives.
  • Manage pipeline activity, initiate, and participate in cross selling opportunities to close retirement business.
  • Promote the Advisory/Fiduciary role as a unique offering from Plexus Financial Services as it is related to the selection/monitoring of client investments and fund performance.
  • Ensure practice is in compliance with required disclosures and notices by working with our compliance partners.
  • Ability to evaluate funds/service providers objectively
  • Ability to help plans/fiduciaries maintain qualified status while meeting corporate goals and objectives.
  • Participate in monthly leadership meetings with President, Employee Benefits.
  • In concert with Compliance Resource, assure compliance with State and Federal regulations.
  • Actively maintain productive working relationships with third party vendors, strategic and industry partners.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and issues impacting the industry.
  • Participate in appropriate associations and organizations locally to provide Plexus representation and expand presence in the market.
Objectives/Performance/Profit:
  • Drive new revenue in collaboration with all Plexus producers nationwide.
  • Lead the development of a robust pipeline of potential prospects, leveraging both our existing clients and organic sourced opportunities.
  • Lead client team in retention efforts to exceed the overall corporate retention objectives.
  • Along with the President, Employee Benefits, report prospect pipeline and expected new revenue or revenue necessary to fill gaps relative to assigned goals.
  • Work with President, Employee Benefits to establish 3- year business plan that align with the corporate objectives including: sales growth strategies, resource needs, budget, retention and profit targets.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years overall in financial services
  • 5-7+ years of retirement plan service and/or general Employee Benefits Brokerage experience
  • Active and valid FINRA Series 7 licensed required. Active and valid FINRA Series 65 or 66 required
  • Proven professional history of success at managing client relationships
  • This role will be required to travel 25-50% of the time

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Ability to perform primarily sedentary work, frequently using a computer (visual acuity, fine motor skills) and telephone (talking/hearing)
  • Read, write, and communicate effectively
  • Lift and carry up to 15 lbs.
  • Ability to drive and handle the physical demands of travel


COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The approximate annual salary range for this position is $150,000 - 180,000. Please note the range provided is a good faith estimate at the time of the posting. Actual compensation within that range is based on a wide variety of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to, individual qualifications, depth of experience, knowledge, skills, applicable certifications, and physical work location(s). This position will be eligible for additional variable compensation based upon sales production.
