POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sales Operations Manager (SOM) will serve as the vital link between the production team and the broader organization. Reporting to the National Sales Leader, the SOM will collaborate closely with various practices within Plexus to efficiently onboard and support the production team, ensuring they quickly become familiar with The Plexus Groupe’s processes, practices, and procedures. As a manager of processes, this role will also provide general sales support, optimize HubSpot/CRM utilization, and enhance overall sales enablement within the Plexus Groupe. Additionally, the SOM will play a key role in integration efforts during both producer and company acquisitions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Sales Team Onboarding Support

  • New Hire Training: Facilitating onboarding for new sales team members, covering sales tools, internal processes, and best practices.
    • HubSpot Trainer
  • Documentation & Resource Creation: Developing and updating onboarding materials, SOPs, and videos to help new hires get up to speed quickly. (Partner with Marketing)
  • Mentorship & Follow-Up: Acting as a resource for new team members post-onboarding, answering questions, and ensuring they feel comfortable with sales tools and processes.
2. Liaison Between Sales and Brand & Marketing
  • Sales Collateral: Partnering with marketing to produce and update sales collateral such as presentations, sell sheets, and brochures.
  • Customization & Personalization: Tailoring materials/content for specific clients and industries, and market conditions.
  • HubSpot Campaigns: Developing a sales strategy for general and demographic specific nurture and trigger campaigns.
3. General Sales Support
  • Pipeline Management: Assisting producers with forecasting, moving leads through opportunity and deal stages, and identifying stalled or neglected deals.
  • HubSpot Lead Qualification: Monitoring and pre-screening new business marketing leads for basic qualification criteria and passing over to producers.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Analyzing sales activities, pipeline, and performance metrics to inform sales strategy, highlight successes, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • HubSpot Data Verification: Confirming that all submissions are correctly logged in HubSpot, updating any missing or incorrect information.
4. Sales Integration Manager
  • Book Buys & Agency Acquisitions: Facilitating a smooth transition of new client books or portfolios.
  • Project Management: Serving as the primary project manager and point of contact for sales integration needs.
  • Data Migration: Partnering with CRG and Marketing to ensure the migration of client data and communications from acquired agencies or book buys into existing systems, primarily within EPIC and HubSpot.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
  • 2-5 years of experience in insurance field
  • Ability to communicate to explain complex issues, receive and interpret complex information, and respond accordingly
  • Working knowledge of property and casualty insurance products and usage
  • Ability to work independently, as well as with cross-functional teams
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs – Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Software (CRM): Hub Spot)
  • Must possess a current and valid State Property & Casualty license
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Comfortable with multi-tasking and have flexibility with changing demands
  • Must be able to work with confidential information and data
  • Ability to travel, as needed, for internal and external purposes


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to perform primarily sedentary work, frequently using a computer (visual acuity, fine motor skills) and telephone (talking/hearing)
  • Read, write, and communicate effectively
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 15 lbs.
  • Handle the physical demands of travel


POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

This is a full-time temporary position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The approximate annual salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000. Please note the range provided is a good faith estimate at the time of the posting. Actual compensation within that range is based on a wide variety of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to, individual qualifications, depth of experience, knowledge, skills, applicable certifications, and physical work location(s).
